According to him the appointing of the interim committee is in tune with laws governing the island nation.

He has pointed out that the inability to accept the interim committee is a problem of ICC and he will only enter into discussions if the interim committee is accepted by the ICC.

Meanwhile, a reliable source reported that the Ministry of Sports is paying attention to conduct another investigation into whether Indian batsmen Suresh Raina is involved in match fixing during the Indian team's visit to Sri Lanka in 2010.

This has been reportedly caused by the actions of ICC Chairman Srinivasan.

Though inquiries were made from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) with regard to the incident the previous reports indicated that sufficient contribution was not made by SLC.

Despite the committee appointed by the SLC Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa and Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga to investigate the allegations, it failed to recover sufficient proof.

During the particular tour it was alleged that a woman entered Suresh Raina's room and remained in it until 4.00 am.
