Economic development minister of the former government Basil Rajapaksa, who left the country soon after the conclusion of the presidential election, is due to return on April 21, reports say.

His flight will reach Katunayake airport at around 1.00 pm on that day.

Basil is due to go directly to parliament, and hold a media briefing later in the day.

An associate of his told ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ that there was no truth to reports that he would be arrested on arrival at the airport on charges of defrauding state money.
