If the former ministers who are accussed of corruption were not given nominations by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) they have decided to team up with Wimal Weerawansa's group and contest the next general election.

Speaking to 'Dinamina' newspaper former minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage has stated that if they were not given nominations they will take alternative measures.

He has said that if the nominations were not given to him and the group it will create a revolt in the country's political history and that those who took wrong decisions will have to face the consequences.

He has furthers stated not giving nominations based on an anonymous complaint filed with the Bribery and Corruption Commission is not democratic.

If the nominations were not given due to supporting and working for former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, every possible measure will be taken with the group who does not receive nomination, the former minister has added.
