At a meeting yesterday (11), its leaders decided that the changes should be finalised after the 19th amendment to the constitution.

For that, the SLFP has appointed a four member committee and will base the Dinesh Gunawardena committee report to formulate electoral reforms, said its member, UPFA general secretary Susil Premajayantha.

The president has agreed to put off dissolving parliament until electoral reforms are adopted, he added.
