UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardena says a no confidence motion will be presented against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake.

Speaking at a press conference in parliament, the former minister has said the current finance minister is acting irresponsibly.

The proposal presented by the government in parliament to obtain permission to increase the threshold of Treasury bill to Rs. 400 billion was defeated by 21 votes.
