He made this statement at a ceremony organized to commence the development work of the Bandarawela Municipal Council grounds on Saturday (4).

"The previous regime for around 10 years wasted public funds by claiming they were conducting development work in the country. Now they have forgotten that 10 years and are asking us about the 100 day programme. We have done a lot of work within this 100 day programme so far. It is true that the previous government was able to finish the war. But they robbed the country as much as they could. Now they have forgotten that," Fernando further said.
