President Maithripala Sirisena is to leave for Pakistan tomorrow (5) for his first official visit as President to the country.

The invitation for the visit was extended by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. President Sirisena will be in Pakistan from April 5-7.

The President during his visit will meet his counterpart Mamnoon Hussain who will host a state banquet for Sirisena.

Prime Minister Sharif will also hold official talks with Sirisena.

A number of MOUs/Agreements of cooperation in various fields are also tipped to be signed after the talks.
