The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has reportedly arrested him recently at the Bandaranaike International Airport when he was trying to leave the country.

Media reports state that San has been accused of not paying the bills submitted by a sub-contractor for work done at the Mattala Airport, Suriyawewa Cricket Grounds and the Colombo Port City.

When he was produced before court, the Chief Magistrate had ordered his release with four Chinese acting as sureties.

The case is to be taken up again on April 02.
