It is surprising that the PM had disregarded tradition to invite the province’s CM for a meeting, chairman of NPC C.V.K. Sivagnanam said.

Instead, Mr. Wickremesinghe invited two TNA MPs to meet him in Kilinochchi yesterday (29).

Selvam Adaikkalanathan did meet the PM but, S. Sridharan said he could not make it due to a personal reason.

100 day programme

Adaikkalanathan said he asked the premier to include several things in the 100 day programme of the government.

Relief for war widows, the disabled and the rehabilitated persons, resolution of land and fishermen’s issues and educational and health problems in the province were also brought to his attention, said the TNA MP.

The PM promised to raise these issues in parliament on April 07, he added.
