MP Silva told the media today that he had informed the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) that the former Defence Secretary was aware of Wickrematunge’s murder.

The MP said he had given the CID all information he had pertaining to the newspaper editor’s murder.

Silva recently lodged a complaint with the CID on several key issues including Wickrematunge’s murder and he was summoned by the CID on Thursday to record a statement.
