Vibhushika was placed in the care of the Maha Dewa children's home in Kilinochchi following the arrest and detention of Jeyakumari Balendran.

Kilinochchi magistrate M.I. Sahabdeen made the above order after taking up the motion filed by Jeyakumari seeking her daughter's release.

Balendran Jeyakumari was arrested nearly a year ago for allegedly harboring Gopi, who was charged of attempting to revive the LTTE.

She had been detained at the Boosa Detention camp since then.
