The Supreme Court has issued a notice on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and other respondents over the Fundamental Rights petition filed by former UNP General Secretary and former Health Minister Tissa Attanayake.
Attanayake filed the petition on March 6, challenging the cancellation of his party membership by the UNP.
The notice was issued when the case was taken up for hearing before Justices Buwaneka Aluwihare, Eva Wanasundera and Upali Abeyratne earlier yesterday.
