Media Spokesman and Deputy General Secretary of the United National Party - Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam says several SLFP MPs will contest the next General election under the UNP ticket.

Speaking at a media briefing held at the party headquarters - Sirikotha yesterday (09), Minister Kariyawasam said that these SLFP MPs had requested to contest the election under the UNP ticket.

'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns that 03 SLFP MPs have already agreed to join the UNP.

The MPs are from the Matara, Puttalam and Galle Districts.
