The two agencies have been investigating the killing for six years now.

The CID will focus its attention on the persons already questioned and several telephone numbers said to be connected to the journalist’s murder, said acting police media spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara.

The IGP handed over the investigation to the CID recently.
