The event is organised on the occasion of International Women's Day to enhance engagement and involvement of women at the national and regional levels. It will bring together approximately 50 participants from different regions of Sri Lanka working on a range of women's rights and gender issues.

Participants will also make a field visit hosted by local women and discuss challenges and opportunities for positive engagement and cooperation.
