Sushma to visit Lanka on Friday

Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is to arrive in Colombo on Friday to set the stage for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sri Lanka this month.

Modi is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka on March 13.

During her two-day stay, Swaraj is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera.

Prime Minister Modi is to arrive on March 13 on a three-day official visit. The visit will be the first by an Indian Prime Minister since 1987.
During his visit, Modi is scheduled to travel to Jaffna, Anuradhapura and Kandy.
