A member of the committee M. Hapugoda told ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ that a deputy general manager was directly involved in the fraud, say ministry sources.
He is a close relative of former minister Johnston Fernando.
A seven-member committee has handed over a report to the subject minister on its findings into a Rs. 250 million fraud in the purchase of 4,800 metric tons of big onions in Anuradhapura.
