Balendran Jeyakumari was presented before the Colombo magistrate’s court today (24).

Arrested on 13 March 2014, Jeyakumari was taken to Boossa detention camp, while her daughter, 13-year-old Vibhushika, was handed to the custody of Mahadevan children’s home in Kilinochchi.

Her husband and two sons had died in the war, while another son disappeared after surrendering to the military.
