A committee has been appointed by the government to study the controversial Uma Oya multi purpose development project that has been temporarily suspended.
The committee will be headed by Prof. Kapila Dassanayake and includes nine other prominent members in the field of engineering.
The government is to make a final decision on how to proceed with the project after perusing the report submitted by this committee.
