The cricketing circle is disturbed by a rumour that port, shipping and aviation minister Arjuna Ranatunga has got his brother, Sri Lanka Cricket Secretary, Nishantha Ranatunga to meet prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, according to reports reaching Sri Lanka Mirror.
The complaint against Nishantha Ranatunga to the Bribery Commission too, reportedly came under discussion at this meeting.
However, an official at the prime minister’s office, when contacted, said there was no truth to the rumour of such a meeting has taken place.
