It is understood by srilankamirror that President Maithripala Sirisena’s wife was allocated only four security personnel but she has only acquired just two.

Meanwhile a security officer who provided cover for former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has now been assigned to protect his son and Navy officer Yoshitha Rajapaksa.

It was made possible when Mahinda Rajapaksa made an appeal to President Maithripala Sirisena.

The President has also approved assigning over 100 security personnel for Mahinda Rajapaksa and 50 security officers for former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
