The victim is Badra Sepala Premadasa who was pulled up after Anura Wijesuriya the Deraniyagala Provincial Council Chairman, his deputy Ruwan Chaminda and Opposition member Madura Ranjith Polgampola persuaded the zonal Education Director to take the teacher to task.

She made the revelation to srilankamirror and said she sought medical treatment over a chest pain.

Education Director of the Dehiombawita zone Gamini Rajadasa told srilankamirror that there was no chiding of the teacher that took place but instead it was only a cautioning over complaints that she was in the habit of roughing up students which he said could not be tolerated.

The teacher however claimed that she was to be transferred to another school and was pressurized by Gamini Rajadasa to leave her class.
