2 suspects of VAT fraud nabbed in Malaysia Featured

Malaysian police have nabbed 2 suspects of the infamous VAT fraud, reports say.

The arrests were made in Malaysia over information provided by the Sri Lankan intelligence units.

The suspects are namely Mohommad Murshi Rashid (Red Notice No. A/4483/7/2010) and Mohommad Nazmy Nagoor Adumai (Red Notice No. A/4484/7/2010).

A special CID team is to leave for Malaysia tonight to bring the duo back to the country.

The Defence Attaché of the Sri Lankan High Commission in Malaysia has also largely contributed to the success of the operation conducted to arrest these two suspects.

Meanwhile, reports say that it is planned to arrest Kamil Kuthubdeen, the main suspect of the case, who is currently residing in Dubai.
