The spokesperson added that MP Jayantha Ketagoda is to resign after making a special statement in parliament today.

Attempts made by us to contact MP Ketagoda on this regard were unsuccessful.

However, a few days earlier, MP Ketagoda told 'Sri Lanka Mirror' that he would not resign until the Attorney General formally informs him that Fonseka would be able to return to parliament upon him resigning.
