The website "lankatruth" reported that Police media spokesman Ajith Rohana as saying that there was plenty of evidence to point towards Shashi Weerawansa obtaining a passport with falsified documents.

It is further reported that Shashi Weerawansa had abused the privileges of her husband and that several of her accomplices would also be arrested under the Penal Code.
