The checkpoint was seen by many civilians as a hindrance to the free movement of people and vehicles as it also imposed several restrictions on goods been transported to the north and south.

Beginning from tomorrow onwards, civilian traffic and vehicles will be allowed to flow freely without any checks and any hint of explosives being transported from the north will be subjected to a minor search.
