Desert safari kills Sri Lankan Airlines stewardess Featured

A Sri Lankan airlines flight stewardess met with a tragic death yesterday (January 30) before she was to board the plane on a flight from Qatar to Colombo.

She had been on a 'desert safari' excursion when the jeep she was travelling in had overturned, killing her.

The unidentified stewardess (20) and was with six others in the jeep.

One of them was the wife of the Air Force pilot who was killed in an air-crash at Hokandara last December.

She suffered a fractured arm and is said to be out of danger.

The excursion they made was said to have been unauthorised.
