The protest took place today (January 28) at the Aluthkade Junction near the court complex.

The protesting lawyers were to press ahead with their demonstration until 3pm but called it off before 12 noon.

They were to march up to the landmark statue of former President Ranasinghe Premadasa and return to the Supreme Court complex where the protest was to have culminated.
