Speaking to the media he also said the dates and period of the proposed amendments to the Constitution have been decided and it was also decided to bring those who had plundered public money and committed crime before the law.
Mr. Dissanayaka also said it has been decided to remove the Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and appoint a suitable person and to hold intensive investigations regarding frauds and corruption that are being revealed at present. He said a special unit would be appointed to expedite the investigations on information received regarding frauds and corruption and a legal agreement was reached to investigate gold, vehicles and assets of people who were distressed by the war.
He said a code of ethics would be introduced for Parliamentarians.
