Internal sources of the TV channel say that Padmakuma has been removed on the grounds of being 'biased' in the recent past while moderating the programme.

Although the popularity of the programme had dipped in the recent past, it was hard to remove Padmakuma as he was a bigwig in the Rajapasa regime, sources add.

Padmakumara was initially set up to do the programme by Tissa Kudathiha after a year long attempt.

Padmakumara, who was also the chairman of the state owned 'Lake House' publications, was removed from his post after the new government came to power.
