The TNA says that they can keep their faith on Palihakkara, as he is an official who had won the respect of Sri Lankans, while fuctioning as Foreign Secretary in the past.

The previous governor or the former government was unabel to understand that the North PC, which was appointed by the public mandate, was tasked with fulfilling its responsibilities.

Not only did the previous governor or the former government hamper duties of the Northern Provincial Council, they did not even provide an space to do so, the TNA adds.
