President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga paid homage to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy today (11).
They also paid a courtesy call on the Chief prelate of the Malwatte chapter - Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thero and received blessings of the Maha Sangha.
The newly elected President is to address the nation at 2.00pm today, from the Paththirippuwa of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
