One meeting has been convened by the present SLFP general secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and it is to be held at at 4.00pm at the party headquarters in Darley Road, Colombo.

The other CC meeting, convened by the former SLFP general secretary and newly elected President - Maithripala Sirisena, is to be held at Temple Trees at 3.00pm.

However, reliable sources say that the majority of the SLFP CC have pledged their support to Maithripala Sirisena, who now holds the highest ranking position in the country.
