Kahawatta shooting incident victim in serious condition

The supporter of common opposition candidate - Maithripala Sirisena, who was injured during a recent shooting incident in Kahawatta, is in serious condition, reports say.

The victim is one Sunil Shantha Dodangoda.

Meanwhile, reports say that a group is attempting to airlift Dodangoda to Colombo but his relations have protested against this.

Deputy minister Premalal Jayasekera and several others are charged of being behind the shooting incident and on Jan. 05, Pelmadulla Magistrate ordered to arrest the deputy minister and two others.
