Telecommunication Commission office turned into a suspicious enclave Featured

Suspicion points out to some irrelevant activities taking place at the office of the Telecommunications Commission at Elvitigala Mawatha in Narahenpita and at Longden Place in Colombo 7 which has been turned into a cyber establishment over the past one month.

The computers installed in the place are said to be of very high calibre machinery and its employee users have been given specialized overseas training.

Employees of SLIDA which is located in the same premises are also said to have been given a large number of telephones.

When asked about the new development taking place, the director general of Sri Lanka Telecommunications Anusha Palpita said that due to renovation work taking place the building has been taken on a two-year lease.

But sources said that there was no truth in the offices taken over in view of renovation taking place.
