Students who had sat for the GCE A/L examination from schools other than their own will get the results based on the district in which they had studied, reports say.

The education ministry is also to take disciplinary action against principals who allowed them to sit for the exam.

Initial investigations point to students having used 15 schools, which are not their own, to sit for the exam this year.

Clause 6.1 of circular dated 30 April 2008 says students of difficult schools canot be denied their quota of university entrance.
