Among the invitees are Dullas Alahapperuma, Ranjith de Soyza, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Kumar Welgama, Keheliya Rambukwella, Bandula Gunawardena, Piyal Nishantha and Janaka Wakkumbura.

All of them are opposed to the idea of breaking away from the SLFP and forming a new party.

Meanwhile, no replacement has been appointed to the SLFP Kalawana organizer position vacated by Janaka Wakkumbura.

When contacted, Alahapperuma told Sri Lanka Mirror confirmed having a telephone conversation with the president before the SLFP marked its 65th anniversary.

He declined to comment further, saying he was receiving treatment at hospital at the moment.
