Isira Asela Dissanayake confessed before Gangodawila magistrate Kanishka Wijeratne today (09) under clause 127 of the criminal procedure code.

Dodamgoda was absent at the hearing, as his health condition was not good.

The accused made the confession as he was to be produced for an identification parade.

Dodamgoda’s car was blocked and he was assaulted as he had been returning home from his office near Epitamullain Pitakotte on August 24.

The magistrate released the accused on a Rs. 50,000 surety.
