Yesterday (31), the Bribery Commission today filed a case in the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court against former defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Avante Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadipathi and six others on charges of corruption under the Bribery Act.

The BC said the suspects had committed the offence by permitting the Avant Garde Maritime Services to operate a floating armory supporting AGMS to earn Rs.11.4 billion causing a huge financial loss to the government.
