TNA ready to complain to OMP about Prabhakaran

The TNA says it will lodge a complaint with the office of mission persons if relatives of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran makes a request to do so.

Party councilor of the northern province M.K. Sivajilingam has made the remark to Neth FM.

An uncle of Sivajilingam was married to the elder sister of Prabhakaran, while another has married the aunt of Prabhakaran.

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya on August 23 signed the OMP act, making it part of the law.

The JVP has already decided to complain to this office regarding its leader Rohana Wijeweera, secretary Upatissa Gamanayake and politburo members including Shantha Bandara and H.M. Herath.

It is said these JVP members had been arrested during 1988-89, with Wijeweera seen making a speech over Rupavahini.
