The funeral will take place at the Roman Catholic cemetery at Battaramulla at 4.00 pm today (11).
The remains presently lie at no. 314, Aruppitiya, Pelawatte, Battaramulla.
Counting around 47 years in the profession, he was the Colombo correspondent for the BBC and also head of Sinhala section at Veritas Radio of the Philippines.
Senior journalist Elmo Fernando has passed away.
