Nalanda College Principal arrested
Borella police have arrested the Principal of Nalanda College - Ranjith Jayasundara, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns.
He has been arrested over his alleged involvement in an incident where a teacher of the school was assaulted last week.
The teacher was hospitalised and we learn that a several doctors who are old Nalandians are attempting to discharge him without doing a CT scan on him.
The teacher - Susantha Herath had recently complained to the Bribery Commission against the school Principal.
'Sri Lanka Mirror' also learns that a National List MP from Borella has attempted to influence against the arrest of the Principal.
Attempts to contact the Borella police on this matter were unsuccessful.
