The probe has revealed that 07 vehicles of the State Engineering Corporation have been provided to the convener of the organisation - Ven. Iththekende Saddhatissa Thera, after bogusly portraying the Thera as a member of his staff.

The Thera has been summoned to record a statement on this regard on July 13.

These vehicles have been rented or the sites of the State Engineering Corporation from a vehicle renting lady in Rajagiriya. Vehicles rented in such a manner cannot be granted to outsiders.
