The money had been used on a march organized to raise awareness on foreign employment.

The auditor general’s report IS/INV/PC/GDE/2015/14 on the Bureau of Foreign Employment dated 16 June 2015 reveals Rs. 925,309 had been spent on balloons.

These balloons had been bought from Anil Graphic Designs of Kitulhena, Mattegoda, which does not manufacture balloons.

However, an invoice given by Anil Graphic Designs says the balloons had been supplied for a May Day decoration.
