The committee met yesterday (06) at Ahungalle, chaired by former president Chandrika Kumaratunga.

The others cited for suspension are Dullas Alahapperuma, Kumar Welgama, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Bandula Gunawardena, Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Prasanna Ranatunga.

Before suspending them, a disciplinary inquiry should place, it has been decided at the meeting.

Meanwhile, on July 19, party leader, president Maithripala Sirisena will summon all electoral organizers of the SLFP to the Foundation Institute in Colombo.

A proposal is due to be adopted there to take strong disciplinary action against those who issue statements and act outside party decisions.
