Speaking to 'Sri Lanka Mirror', an official of the airport said that the usage of bidet hand showers had led to the toilets being wet all the time and therefore it was decided to replace them with toilet tissues which is the common practice in many Western countries.

However, it is said that many locals who are not used to the use of toilet tissues instead of bidet hand showers are inconvenienced by this move.
