During the holy Poson Poya Day in the weekend, Dansel were a common sight around Sri Lanka with people thronging around them regardless of class or creed.

The First Family was no exception and Lady Jayanthi Pushpa Kumari Sirisena and the President's daughter - Chathurika Sirisena were spotted at an ice cream Dansel in Polonnaruwa during the evening hours of Poson Poya.

Earlier that day, they were spotted at a rice Dansel, which is annually held by the Polonnaruwa Buddhist Association.

The association is chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena.
