Warning of strong action over Sripali Campus probe

Warning of strong action over Sripali Campus probe Featured

A warning of strong action has been made if the Colombo University’s senate fails to properly investigate the former head of media studies at Sripali Campus, Pradeep Weerasinghe.

A disciplinary inquiry underway against him is being covered up by an unseen political hand, alleges ‘Citizens for a Secure Sri Lanka’ organization.

Weerasinghe faces several charges of harassment, including having solicited sexual bribes from two female trainee lecturers.

The probe is now being swept under the carpet, alleges convener of the organization Priyadarshani Ariyaratne.

There is credible information that the inquiry panel is going to rule that no harassment had taken place against the two female lecturers, she says.
