Making the claim, Nankumara assaulted Susanthika at her home presently under construction at Embaraluwa in Weliweriya in the early hours of yesterday (18) morning.

He has gone there around 1.00 am, assaulted her and also caused damage to a car parked in the front.

Arrested over the assault, Nandakumara was produced by Weliweriya police before the Gampaha magistrate’s court, which released him on two sureties of Rs. 100,000 each.
