Speaking, Media Spokesman of Sri Lanka Navy Captain Akram Alevi says that Commandant Volunteer Naval Force Rear Admiral Travish Sinnaiah has been transferred as the Commanding Officer of the Eastern province.

However, the Navy Spokesman said that the transfer was planned 3 weeks ago and has no connection to the recent altercation the Chief Minister of East Province had with a Navy officer in Sampur last week.
